Goals for
Simply Jesus©
My goal for Simply
Jesus© is to inspire learners with a vision for
evangelism and discipleship. It’s not as hard or mysterious as many
think. I find that people know the gospel, but often they don’t
know that they know it. So I encourage them to stir up the gifts and experience
they already have, help them make new connections and send them out confident
that they can share the gospel with anyone at anytime in many different
ways. I pray they might have eyes to see a world lost, lonely and
in need of Savior. When they see that, I want to encourage, train and
equip to share the gospel and disciple a new believer.
My purpose is to glorify God by bringing children and adults to Christ
who have never understood Him. To clearly define the Good News of Jesus
Christ and bring them to a place of commitment, understanding what commitment
is. To challenge nominal believers to deepen the foundations of their
faith and go out and share Christ and make disciples. To clearly introduce
the doctrines of grace, justification by faith, sin, repentance, forgiveness,
and Lordship.. To point each one to Jesus, the resurrection, heaven, and
the judgment to come. To inspire and encourage children and adults to
live by God’s standard of holiness and obedience; to encourage the
study of scripture and the application of His Word to all areas of life.
To try and look at the current generation and understand how to present
these truths in a cultural context so they might understand. To inspire
this generation to show the love of Christ and share it with others.
My challenge is to have a part in changing lives, sharing a vision, instilling
confidence, and sending learners out to reproduce and have fruit
that remains. That is my challenge. What’s yours?
